Testimonials

Hope and Comfort Inc.

Here are some of the testimonials we have received.

Thank you so much for the toothbrushes! Two middle school leadership students were so happy to count the toothbrushes, and pair them with a mini-toothpaste to create dental care packages that will be distributed to Gardner Pilot Academy families. We are so appreciative of your generous donation which is going directly to support the health and wellness of our school community.

– Social Service Worker, Gardner Pilot Academy

Thank you so much for once again partnering with JFS in the TST Mitzvah Day. Your most generous donation of Personal Care items made a significant difference to lives of the Hasting House residents, and for this we are so grateful. Just seeing the faces of the residents as they received their bags provided all the families with a great feeling of “Mitzvah Accomplished”. Thank you too for providing the Bingo prizes, pizza and cookies.  Your generosity and enthusiasm is so appreciated, and I look forward to furthering our partnership so that we can continue to help so many in the community .

Thank you again!

Warmly,

Jayne

Hi Jeff,

Just wanted to update you on the Smile Sacks project.

The Smile Squad visited two nursing homes in Pontotoc, Mississippi on Saturday, June 7th.  Smile Sacks were distributed to staff and residents at Sunshine Rest Home Saturday morning.  The residents were happy to have the children visit and really enjoyed the Smile Sacks.  The afternoon was spent at Pontotoc Health and Rehab (formerly Graceland Care Center).  The Smile Squad had a great time seeing the smiles on everyone’s faces.  We want to thank the staff at Sunshine Rest Home and Pontotoc Health and Rehab for allowing us to visit with their residents.  It is an experience we will always remember.

Thanks again for helping Harley with the Smile Sacks project, Jeff!

Jeff,

Young Mothers Inc wants to say thank you for allowing us to help young woman in our community.

Thanks,

Greetings Jeff,

We have received and already shared some of the donations your organization provided to us for our community.

Again, thank you so very much for how your organization has blessed us. We received 3 boxes each of deodorants and soap packs. A man came by who lives under a bridge in our community and we were able to put together a package for him to use. He was so thankful.

Sincerely,

Dear Jeff:
Here are some pictures of kids for peace framingham chapter making the peace care packs for the homeless. (see gallery →) They enjoyed it and we will be finishing up our project by putting little hearts in bags with kind and loving words.
But the best part is we would like to thank Mr. Jeff of hopeandcomfort.org for suppling us with the toiletries and more. You are so special. The Kids had a great experience shaking an awesome man’s hand that makes a difference in others lives. Thanks so much for all you do

Jeff,
Thank you so much! We had just picked up the items! I would be able to take pictures of our site with the items when we distribute them. You have been a great help to us and our clients. Once again, we can’t express how much we appreciate your help. Thank you!

Cee, Indian Health Center, Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Hello Jeff,

I would like to confirm that the items will be picked up today at 3:30pm. Thank you very much for your great organization. Just know that will make a huge difference in our clients’ lives, since all those who will be receiving it are going to tremendous financial hardship. We work with each household to achieve stability and hopefully self-sustainability. This support you are give will alleviate a lot the client’s budget.

Hi Jeff,

It was great speaking to you! I cannot express how grateful we are that you are willing to make donations to our program. I contacted both of our programs and currently we are in need of shampoo/conditioner as well as razors. As I mentioned with both programs combined we currently have 50 clients. I have attached the address of the closest Dollar Tree to our program. Thanks again for all of your help and generosity!

Best,
Grace

Hello Hope and Comfort,
Both myself and The Laboure Center wanted to express our gratitude, for the donation your organization made to our facility this past week. Helping individuals with their basic needs such as food, shelter and clothing are always a priority. However, sometimes we forget that simple items such as soap or toothpaste are forgotten for individuals in need. Once again your donation was greatly appreciated and we look forward to working with you in the future.

Thanks Again,

Jeff,
We really appreciate the razors, shaving cream, baby powder, antiperspirant, and shampoo you donated toward our hygiene kits. We distributed them at the Health Fair in Kentucky this past weekend. I’m attaching some pictures. The first picture is when some of the children from our church helped assemble the hygiene kits last Wednesday night. We had the kids come in groups of 5 to help, so that they would feel included in the project. The kits were assembled in a ziplock bag, then moved to a larger backpack type cinch bag for distribution. We ended up distributing 50 bags to the adults and 25 to the children. Our health fair ran from 11-2 on Saturday, and the line began forming at 10. We ran out of bags by 11:30! After the health fair was over, we counted 308 that had registered for blood pressure check/glucose check, foot care, hygiene kits, lunch, haircuts, clothing distribution, and shoe distribution.

Our next event will be planned for the first of 2014, and we hope to take winter clothing and shoes, along with hygiene kits. We plan to assemble fewer items in the hygiene kits, but provide more kits to help meet the need. I hope we can ask you again for assistance in this endeavor.

Thanks again for your assistance. Our event would not have been such a success without your generosity!

Blessings,
Sandy Wood

Jeff,
I wanted to let you know that we had gotten all the hygiene products you donated to our program. I have attached a thank you letter. I went ahead and kept the donor value at $200.00. Hope this works out okay. I will be sending you a picture with the products tomorrow. The person who took the picture has to send it to me and then I will forward it on to you. We really appreciate your incredible generosity in this. It really helps our associates to have kind organizations like yours to donate products to our cause. I hope you have a wonderful day and I will be in touch with you tomorrow with a picture. Take care!

Hi Jeff
Hope all is well and that you had a great long weekend. Just received the below note from Myrna requesting supplies for the JFS Food Pantry. I also wanted to share the below link to one of our client’s stories from Seize the Dream. It is because of your generosity that we are able to help so many like Cathryn.

Jeff,
I would like to thank you for the generous donation of Palmolive Soap to the Fitchburg High School Red Raider Marketplace. The high school kids are always in need of toiletries and this was a welcomed addition to our supply. As you know, some of the most basic items are always forgotten when donations are made to a food/clothing pantry. The less glamorous items are always appreciated and taken as soon as they arrive.
Thanks again,

Hello Mr. Feingold,
I hope all is well with you! I wanted to take this opportunity to thank your organization for its continued support of the Mercy Delta Express Project. The children will be so excited to receive the personal hygiene products because as you are aware, many of our families can’t afford basic hygiene products. Our health educator, Tammy Bell, has planned several hygiene classes at the South Delta Elementary, Middle, and High schools and is looking forward to distributing the items during her classes. In addition, we will have the some of the items readily available in our school-based health centers for students who are in need. Again, thank you again for you generous donation and we appreciate your continued support of our project.

Sincerely,
Lisa Haynie

Jeff-
Thank you so much for your kind donations. They will surely go a long way in making a positive impact on the life of a deserving Veteran. Once again, we sincerely thank you for your contributions,

Jeff-

As always, please accept our sincere thanks for all you do to help those in need in our community.

I am truly Thankful for our partnership.

Wishing you, Loren and your children a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Hi Jeff,
Thank you for helping me to make a different in the lives of families this holiday season in the Black Belt communities. The event will take place on December 8, 2012, North Sumter Jr. High School. Hi Jeff
I wanted to thank you for your generosity and compassion.

Your willingness to listen to her story, to think outside the scope of your organization’s mission, brought not just needed things to a family, but a sense of worth. Over and over she told me that she cannot believe how kind people can be. Sorting through the bags was a bright spot in a dark couple of weeks.

The items you provided will be used well. Everything she saw hit as just right. There was even a fire fighter’s costume in one of the bags and that is what her son had already said he wanted to be for Halloween.

I will share your information and this story with my team and other colleagues. I look forward to working with you again. Good luck with your programs and the good work that you and your family do.

All the best,
Kathy Manfield

Hello Mr. Feingold,
I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you so much for the wonderful items that you donated to our project. We were overwhelmed by your generosity when we arrived at Dollar Tree and saw the numerous boxes of items that you provided. We have picked up and loaded the items into our vans and will be delivering them to our School-Based Health Centers in Sharkey and Issaquena Counties next week. We service an area where our patients oftentimes go without these items in order to buy food or other necessities. I can assure you that everyone will be so thankful to receive these items. The children, faculty and staff are going to be so excited! I will be forwarding you some pictures of us picking the items up as well as pictures of when we deliver them to the schools and distribute them. Again, we appreciate your generous donation and look forward to a future collaboration with Hope and Comfort.

Take care

Hi Jeff, Thanks so much for the shampoo—this is really a great item for the guests at Anchor Inn. We don’t purchase shampoo so it’s something they always have a need for.

I asked the supervisor about other toiletry items that they need— top of the list was deodorant, lotion, dental floss and razors (we order the plastic bic razors which apparently aren’t the smoothest on the face!) I know these things might be harder to get but thought I’d pass this on.

Thanks again!

Hi Jeff,
I can’t begin to tell you how much our clients appreciate the personal hygiene products that you and Hope and Comfort are providing. Without this very critical donation, we are not able to offer such items on any consistent basis and as you probably know, these are not things that our clients can use their SNAP benefits (food stamps) to purchase. Your donation is truly appreciated by all!
